Dogface Photography by George Nakata

A different perspective

Sometimes you have to step back to see the bigger picture

From ground level to hundreds of metres above it, landscape photography is about finding the relationship between the land, the light and the environment.

Sometimes you have to step back to see the bigger picture.

I’m drawn to landscapes that have a sense of scale, atmosphere and place.

Mountains, coastlines, roads, forests, cities and the spaces in between all tell stories. Changing the perspective can reveal patterns and relationships that aren’t visible from the ground.

Drone photography adds another dimension to that process — allowing familiar landscapes to be seen from above and giving the image a completely different sense of scale.

Commercial drone section
If you do want to offer drone photography commercially, I’d separate it from the personal work:

Aerial Photography

I also undertake aerial photography for property, business, tourism, locations and other projects where seeing things from above adds something to the story.
